It’s All About the Dog

Hey Animal Lovers,

This is Tom and you will hear about my wife Shelly and our miracle dog Kozmo.  We live on 10+ acres in a house we designed and built with our own hands.  Nothing fancy or extravagant, but unique.  We have woods and meadows, with trails criss-crossing the land.  The land also has 2 ponds and a swamp. 

Our dog Kozmo is, part Border Collie, part Britanny, all character.  The story I am going to tell is about the trials, and effort, put into taking care of Kozmo who broke her back and has paralyzed rear legs.  There have been many life lessons learned through this ordeal.  Who ever would have thought we would have a wheelchair bound dog!  Nobody could tell us anything about how to care for her.  There are no training manuals.  The effort put forth by my wife Shelly was heroic!  Pure love and a “get it done” attitude was how she pulled Kozmo through.  

I hope the readers that see this story will share with others that they may know, or know of, that have a similar pet.  We would just like to let others know what we did, so maybe they can pick up some ideas and be helped.  Never give up.
